Mon Health Medical Center Registered Nurse Receives DAISY Award

The DAISY Award is awarded to nurses biannually at the hospital and is a part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize and thank nurses for the care and kindness they provide. Nominations are sent in by patients, families, and coworkers and compiled to award selected recipients.
“It is humbling to be chosen to be a Daisy Award winner. Compassion for others in their greatest time of need is a true blessing. Treating them how you would want your family or yourself treated. I love what I do for others, without expecting recognition,” said Barr.
Barr is a Registered Nurse working the nightshift at Mon Health Medical Center Intensive Care Unit. Barr has been at Mon Health for almost seven years, first as an LPN and now as an RN. Because of her acts of selflessness and commitment to go above and beyond for her patients, she was nominated and selected as a recipient for this award.
